Standard Turnover Cleaning Checklist

Bedrooms

  • Strip used linen and remake beds with fresh sheets.

  • Inspect mattress protectors

  • Dust all surfaces (nightstands, dressers, shelves)

  • Wipe headboards and bed frames

  • Clean mirrors and glass

  • Empty trash bins and replace liners

  • Vacuum carpets or sweep/mop floors

  • Check under beds for trash or left items

  • Lightly disinfect high-touch areas (light switches, door handles)

Living Areas

  • Dust all surfaces and decor

  • Wipe down coffee tables, side tables, TV stands

  • Clean and disinfect remotes

  • Vacuum sofas and chairs (remove crumbs/hair)

  • Spot-clean upholstery

  • Clean mirrors and windows (interior)

  • Sweep/vacuum and mop floors

  • Straighten furniture and staging

Kitchen

  • Wipe and sanitize countertops and backsplash

  • Clean exterior of appliances (fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher)

  • Clean microwave interior

  • Wipe cabinet fronts and handles

  • Clean sink and faucet

  • Replace trash bags

  • Sweep and mop floors

  • Check fridge for leftover food (per host instructions)

Bathrooms

  • Clean and disinfect toilet (bowl, seat, base)

  • Scrub and sanitize shower/tub 

  • Clean sinks and countertops

  • Polish mirrors 

  • Wipe cabinet fronts and handles

  • Restock toiletries (if provided)

  • Empty trash and replace liners

  • Sweep and mop floors

General

  • Check walls for obvious marks (spot clean)

  • Light dusting of vents and ceiling fans (reachable)

  • Final walkthrough to ensure readiness
